Case study

Clearing a wooded lot in Mullica Hill for a new home.

The owners bought an overgrown lot and needed it ready for their builder. We walked it, took down the trees inside the building area, pulled the stumps and left graded ground with a stone entrance for construction trucks.

April 2022

The lot before

Thick briars and vines at ground level, years of fallen limbs, and a mix of tall hardwoods with holly underneath. You couldn't see the back of the property from the road.

We walked the whole lot with the owners, flagged the building area and marked which trees would come down.

How the job went

  1. 1. Walkthrough

Site visit, flagging, and a written price covering cutting, cleanup and hauling.

  2. 2. Tree removal, December 2022

Trees in the building area were felled and bucked into logs. The neighboring log home sits just past the work area. Nothing landed on it, its driveway or its cars.

  3. 3. Stumps and grading, January 2023

An excavator pulled the stumps and roots, which were piled for removal. The ground was rough graded and a stone entrance laid so construction trucks wouldn't sink in.
